Maths Challenges

We want children to ‘get to grips’ with their times tables as they need to know:

It is also important that they can quickly recall number facts for example number bonds to ten and a hundred, be able to double and halve numbers, calculate addition and subtraction questions as well as calculate basic fractions and percentages mentally. For this reason we conduct weekly ‘low stakes’ quizzes to help children with this recall and retention. They start off on’Jungle Maths’, moving on to work through the rainbow with ‘Rainbow Maths’ and have the challenge of ‘Planet Maths’. There are 2 mini quizzes that children need to pass before they can move on to the next stage. If you would like to assist with the practice of these quizzes, links are attached below.
