SPAG
At Staincliffe, SPaG will be taught across the whole school and each year will develop children’s knowledge and build on previous learning. All children are taught spelling, punctuation and grammar in focussed sessions and then they are expected to apply their knowledge and skills in their writing. Children are expected to know the correct names of the terms involved. Children are assessed in their knowledge termly. We follow the spelling scheme in Spelling Shed as well as teaching words from the National Curriculum lists. Click on the links below for more detail and guidance of how to support your child with SPaG throughout the different year groups.

We encourage our families to help their children learn the spellings they are given each week.
